The Mississippi River
The Mississippi River is the 2nd longest river in the world and the 1st longest in The United States of America.
Native Americans have lived along the Mississippi River and its tributaries for thousands of years.
The Mississippi River can be divided into 3 sections: the upper Mississippi, the river from its headwaters to the connection with the Missouri River, the middle Mississippi, which is the lower part from the Missouri to the Ohio River; and the Lower Mississippi, which flows from the Ohio to the Gulf of Mexico.
